Ursula Wawroschek was born in the Rhineland and received her first piano lessomns at the age of eight. She graduated from the Musikhochschule in Cologne with a teacher´s diploma in piano; a core area of her studies where chamber music classes with Norbert Brainin and Peter Schidlof, members of the Amadeus Quartet. Further studies were undertaken with Prof. Detlef Kraus, Irma Zucca-Sehlbach (Essen), Oxana Yablonskaya and Seymour Bernstein (New York).
Ursula Wawroschek appears internationally in various chamber-music formations, notably as pianist of the “Clara Schumann Trio”, as well as in theatrical projects and Cabarets in which improvisation and original compositions play a particularly important role.
Ursula Wawroschek is also a lecturer in piano and improvisation at the University of Cologne.
